Mockup + Book Cover Experimentation
This is a personal project of mine where I decided to create a book cover design on the rich history of Mexican Pastries!
I grew up loving and eating Mexican pastries so I believed connecting my heritage and design would be an exciting project to work on in my free time.
My goal for this project was to work on new skills! I learned to create designs for mockups, familiarize myself with mockup websites, and incorporate real-life images, and learn to use mockup PSD files!
Process
With this project, I worked with creating my own images such as going out to local Mexican bakeries, picking out breads to buy, bringing them home, and then taking photos of these breads!
I then went in digitally and rearranged them in an appealing layout! I worked with changing the colors to make them look as if they were fossils to represent this being a history book!
This book is about the History of these pastries and the importance of them to Mexican Culture so to represent this through a cover was something I found to be very important!
